Grad Student DH Conference & Neoliberal Tools

Hi all,

I recommend everyone consider submitting a paper to this grad student DH CFP. It will be good to get to know your colleagues who are interested in DH work, its nearby (Ryerson), and there is funding:

Abstracts are due April 1. I am assured that this is not an April Fool’s joke.

Another cool conference, this one in Orlando next November. HASTAC is the “Humanities, Arts, Science, Technology Alliance & Collaboratory) is a network of grad students and Profs who are interested in both using and critiquing DH tools and methods:

Lastly, the Canada Council just hosted a conference entitled “Arts in a Digital World” where they committed $80+ million dollars in grants for digital arts projects. A win for a reimagined conception of the humanities or the transformation of us all into neoliberal tools?
